 An amazing first volume to a chilling manga. It’s such an interesting take on friendship and love that it kept me on the edge of my seat. The way the buzzing of the cicadas is spread across almost every page makes you hear it around you, loud and, at times, annoying, a nice detail that adds so much flavour to the atmosphere.
The drawings are good; there are some panels where it feels a bit wonky, but they’re balanced out by some amazing full-page illustrations, like the one where Yoshiki has his head on the table and everything looks like it’s dripping down.
The story is more psychological horror at this point, but the mystery seems to be much darker than we expect. Can’t wait to read more and see how the story progresses, maybe I’ll check out the anime adaptation afterwards as well.

Omg wow what a manga.

First of all the art style is AMAZING!!!! Same as the anime. If this anime is not gonna be nominated for best art style then everything about the anime awards is rigged. Anyways back to the manga.

The things I read in this volume were mostly things I already saw in the anime but omg it still gave me the chills! Now I know why people love this manga so much. It’s just the right mix between horror and mystery. Like what is Hikaru? Why did he choose to take Hikaru’s body? Why is he soooo obsessed with Yoshiki?

I am dying to know more! Anime and manga of the year for me!
