We're starting next week, so I don't know if the method will work, but it seems likely that it will. While the methods seem sound, the author had a lot of opinions that she could have kept to herself without impacting the learning (for example, I really didn't need to know that she is paleo - not helpful). Also, the book was condescending towards dads and needed some serious editing. All that being said, though, if it ends up working for us, then it will all be worth it.

Will post a review once I give potty training a go.
However I highly recommend buying this book before ever even attempting to potty train or before buying items for potty training as she gives you ideas of how to approach it.
Her writing style was easy to read and I found her humor funny though I imagine some people may not.

I’m stopping my reading of this at 45%. I will come back to it when I am in the process of really potty training my son. He’s not 100% ready for it yet so the first 2 parts are the most helpful information to me as We get closer to the time to potty train.

I had been avoiding potty training for a very long time with a ton of excuses as to why. This book helped give grace in a very tough love sort of way and lead me just to start! We are doing great with graduating from diapers and this book was a huge boost in that!
