sometimes Firestar is so annoying and Sandstorm deserves better! i found this one quite slow, but i loved the ending and the epilogue!!

i really loved this side story!! tbh tho the first like 10ish chapters felt really dragged on and boring like this could have been a normal length book imo. inconsistency with firestar’s lives annoyed me though!!

I've never been the hugest fan of this book... or SkyClan, to be honest. Though I like many of the cats individually, I don't like the addition of a fifth Clan.
Spoiler I know that they get added later in the main series, too, and I'm kind of dreading that
It just feels unnecessary, and being older now, the introduction of the warrior code to random cats living happily on their own also felt a bit strange, but oh well.

This book is just flat out amazing. I love the mysteries of the new clan and quest to rebuild. I realized a theme in this book... So let's say you want to help another country but the people in your country don't agree, they've had arguments with that country and have no clue what has been done. You go on anyway, and end up fixing the mistake others have done. This book is heart warming. I highly recommend it!!

now why did that make me emotional

A must-read for any diehard Warriors fan for the way it breaks several molds:  the first super edition published, the first mention of a fifth Earthly clan, the first instance of a full-body Starclan apparition. That being said, this book can be a little bit of a slog. The pacing is less like the usual Warriors series and a bit more on par with Lord of the Rings-- lots of drawn out descriptions and meandering subplots. I had to read this one in tandem with another book so that I could take breaks.
