I was immediately immersed in the world where Jon, a psychic reader who sees everything when meeting a person, who works as a police consultant as a human lie detector who leads the detectives he works with in the right direction and helps to solve them. Because of his gift, there aren't many, or any people who will partner with him and protect him from the criminals he puts away, until he meets Donovan. The man changes everything for him. As they work together and their mutual attraction grows, it's wonderful to see how close they get, especially when the case gets personal. A wonderful start to the series with memorable and fantastic characters.

Great mystery
I am so glad to find a new author! I love paranormal stories and this one was very plausible. There’s good word building and definite chemistry between Jon and Donavon. I will be reading the next book for sure!

Da poco è uscito questo magnifico gioiellino, il primo libro tradotto di A.J.Sherwood e sono davvero contenta di averlo potuto leggere in anteprima.
Appena l’ho visto, sapevo che dovevo leggerlo assolutamente: mi piace il poliziesco e se ci si aggiunge al il queer… non potevo sicuramente dire di no quando mi hanno proposto di collaborare. E posso dirvi di aver fatto la scelta giusta.
Il libro è in prima persona, il punto di vista di un sensitivo che aiuta la polizia ad indagare e scoprire i criminali, ma ha un unico problema, non ha una ancora-una persona con cui si lega profondamente e che lo aiuta a stare con “i piedi per terra”.
E guarda caso arriva Donovan, dall’aspetto da criminale, ma che in realtà ha un’aura molto pura. Ammetto che leggendo a volte ho avuto dei dubbi riguardanti lui. Ma è davvero così buono? Sembra troppo bello per essere vero. Il mio sesto senso dice che in realtà c’è qualcosa sotto e non vedo l’ora dunque di vedere come va avanti la situazione nei prossimi libri.
La trama però non si basa sulla relazione tra i due, ma su una sparatoria in un campus, da parte di una ragazza che crede che uno studente di erasmus la stia minacciando per ottenere dei soldi (che comunque non ha). Dunque Jon, con il suo parter (di lavoro si intende) Donovan, deve scoprire cos’è realmente successo.
Quando si scopre il motivo è davvero qualcosa di interessante. E’ una cosa di cui ho sentito parlare ma che purtroppo, non riesco a comprendere bene completamente e da una parte questo libro mi ha aiutato a capire un po’ di più.

Fantastic
This is a fantastic book. Good mystery and great chemistry between the main characters. I loved Jon and Donovan. Such a great couple.
