I was going to give this book 2 stars but it gets another star for the love scene at the end. The overall story wasn't that interesting. Harlow is annoying and I wish they were all a little older.
Good for a quick read. I did not think the author could rope me in to reading the second book, but the cliff hanger roped me in lol.

3.5 stars
- FMC: Harlow
- MMC's: Alaric, Gideon, Sterling, Theo
- POVs Included: Multiple POVs (Alaric, Harlow, Gideon, Sterling, Theo)

SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)
Harlow's father (who she isn't close to and lives in England while she lives in New York) dies and she heads to England for the funeral.
But while she's there she finds out he was part of a secret crime organization known as The Lords of Darkness. There are five positions directly linked to bloodlines. And with her father dead, she's next in line to inherit his position.
She doesn't want it. But she also doesn't have a choice.

REVIEW:
Pretty good read!
I liked the whole plot for this one with the secret society. It was pretty interesting.
I also liked that the author didn't have the guys keep the fact that they killed her dad a secret from her. I expected them to and then once she falls for them it come out and make her feel betrayed. But I was glad the author didn't go this route because I really hate miscommunication tropes.
I liked Harlow as the FMC. She's strong and a fighter, but not reckless and she knows her limits. I liked that she tries to fight her fate instead of just giving in right away.
I loved the dynamic of the guys too. My favorite RH trope is when the guys have already been sharing and love to share women. I also like the hints that they are interested in fooling around with each other too. No m/m yet but I'm looking forward to that in the next book. Their whole dynamic together is my favorite type for an RH. No fighting over Harlow between them, just purely loving the idea of sharing her. Love it!
The one thing I found lacking was character building for the guys. They were hot and dominant. But I can't say they have super distinct personalities and we don't get very much background for any of them. Hopefully this changes in the final book of the duet.
Overall though it was a fun read and I look forward to seeing how it all plays out. Leaves off on a big cliffhanger so I'm heading right into the next book!
