I’ve read other books by this author and this book wasn’t for me sadly. I felt the chemistry wasn’t there and it just made it not super fun to read.

Okay I was not expecting much from this BUT I actually ended up really enjoying it. This is a dark romance, secret society/mafia vibes with found family and all that jazz. While it is fairly dark in some places I really enjoyed the banter between the main characters and the spice scenes were well written and not overly egregious as I find in some other free kindle books I've read. It does end on a bit of a cliffhanger so I'm definitely going to read the next in the series to find out what happens next.
