This one seemed a bit far fetched and rushed. I do enjoy all the new information that is generated from this series. It makes me feel smarter.

I felt this book took a long time to get to the Cornwell type book I remember. I did end up enjoying it but felt like it slogged along in the beginning.

I stopped reading this book. I don't care for her books or writing style. I believe this is the second one of her books that I have put down without finishing.

This was a slog.  An overly long, convoluted mess.  Where have you gone, Kay Scarpetta?

This isn't going well so far. Sometimes I wonder if listening to audio editions colors my opinion of a book when I hear in someone else's voice and inflections in stead of what I make up in my own head. My point is that Kay is coming across the way her detractors throughout the series have always described her. Totally wrapped up in herself and superior. I am finding it hard to care about her anymore. Hope it gets better! It's sad that I was changing the cd's in my player and think I may have skipped two of them without knowing it...anyway, it got better once they got into the real case and off the ruminations, but I still have enjoyed others of the series much better.

While this is like the Kay Scarpetta books of the past, it still does not compare to the older books in the series.

A fine mystery, but each book in the series is more and more of a soap opera... this one was even predictable. I miss the blood-curdling terror of some of her earlier stories.
