Wow. This was quite something! I couldn't help myself but read the second half in one sitting. 

Ten people are invited to "Soldier Island" under different pretences. It turns out that each one caused the death of someone in a way that was untouchable by law.
One after another they all die.


Here are some of the guesses/suspicions I had while reading. None of them were correct.
When Mr Rogers was seen outside and very shortly afterwards was seen in the attic, I thought he might have a twin or doppelganger. 
The way Ms Brent wrote in her diary and also went outside on her own... Very suspicious! 
When the last five sat in the drawing room and we could read each ones thoughts I thought the last one was Blore and therfore suspected him.

And Then There Were None é um dos grandes clássicos de Mistério e um dos livros mais famosos de Agatha Christie, referenciado amplamente na cultura pop. Esse livro é referência em algumas das tropes que mais gosto então a decisão de lê-lo foi obvia, e como esperado, eu amei o livro. A narrativa acompanha um grupo de personagens que de maneira ou outra cometeram assassinatos não punidos por lei, são os principais deles: O juiz Lawrence Wargrave; A ex-governanta Vera Claythorne; O mercenário Philip Lombard; O Dr. Edward George Armstrong; o ex-inspetor de polícia William Henry Blore; Emily Brent, uma velha, impiedosamente religiosa; O general John Gordon MacArthur; Thomas e Ethel Rogers, um casal que trabalham como mordomo e secretaria doméstica; Anthony Marston um jovem rico, bonito e inconsequente. A atmosfera do livro é excelente, os personagens encontram-se presos em uma ilha por alguns dias devido a ausência de barcos e a uma tempestade. É nesse clima de isolamento que os personagens passam a ser assassinados um a um. A escrita é ótima e é fácil ver porque Christie foi tão influente. Mesmo sendo um clássico a leitura flui. A sinopse: Dez estranhos são convidados para a Ilha do Soldado, uma rocha isolada perto da costa de Devon. Isolados do continente, com seus generosos anfitriões, Sr. e Sra. U.N. Owen, misteriosamente ausentes, cada um deles é acusado de um crime terrível. Quando um dos membros morre repentinamente, eles percebem que pode haver um assassino entre eles. A tensão aumenta quando os sobreviventes percebem que o assassino não está apenas entre eles, mas está se preparando para atacar de novo... e de novo... Um a um, os convidados compartilham os segredos mais sombrios de seus passados ​​perversos. E um a um, eles morrem... 

A intriga do livro é excelente e manteve minha curiosidade até o final e devo admitir que não previ o plot twist o que aumentou o meu divertimento.
É claro que em dado momento passou pela minha cabeça o juiz Wargrave ser o culpado, mas sua morte forjada me enganou e com certeza essa foi a intenção de Christie para o leitor. O plano e ações do juiz fizeram bastante sentido contextualizado na lógica interna da obra.
O meu aproveitamento de And Then There Were None foi excelente, a obra me entreteve, me deixou curiosa e me surpreendeu, dou 5 estrelas.
