J'ai dévoré ce magnifique roman. J'ai vibré, été émue. Julian et Deacon ❤️. Deux âmes brisées par le deuil de Rhett, le copain de Julian et frère de Deacon, et qui vont retrouver goût à la vie ensemble.
J'aime bien le trope du survivant qui retrouve l'amour avec un membre de la famille de son dead lover et je n'ai pas été décue ici. Rhett, n'est jamais vraiment un fantôme et je n'ai jamais trouvé la situation malsaine ou gênante. C'était naturel et normal que leur relation arrive. Ils étaient beaux ❤️.
Les personnages secondaires (excepté une) sont tous géniaux et apportent de la fraîcheur.
La traduction française est très correcte et c'est dispo sur KU alors n'hésitez pas !
-0.5⭐ pour (SPOILERS) la rapidité de l'évolution de leur relation car la majeure partie du livre se passe sur 3 semaines ce que je trouve peu, et aussi la demande en mariage en public, je déteste ça (mais bon eux ont apprécié, c'est le principal).

These characters are something else. I knew it was a MM romance one of my favorites but I wasn’t expecting the depth. Deacon by all accounts its straight he has a girlfriend and though they are not happen he is content with his life until his brothers passing.
Grief is something different to everyone it wakes some people up and I think that is what it did for Deacon.
He ex’s the girlfriend and starts to live for himself even if his relationship with his family is rocky at best.
It’s his relationship with his brothers ex, Julian that surprises them both. They both are grieving and Deacon helps Julian when he needed it most it forged a bound I think.
As they are thrown together more and more they see each other for more than just Rhett’s brother or Rhett’s boyfriend. They help each other heal.
I am sad the story is over because I just want more from these guys their story was just taken off.
The narration was fantastic I think Teddy and Tim did one heck of a job giving this book a voice.

A wonderful story of forgiveness, healing, and finding love after loss.
I was hesitant at first because “straight guy falls in love with his dead brother’s boyfriend” could easily go south if not written well, but the way Julian and Deacon’s relationship progresses is sincere, pure, and sweet. The quick speed at which they fall in love might be a turnoff to some (~two days?), but when you find that special someone who can fill in the gaping hole in your heart, I’m sure time’s not an issue.

Solid 5 star book for me.
In part this book worked so well because of the dual POV. This is one of those stories where the topic can be too heavy and feelings can be confusing unless you can see inside the heads of both MCs.
I'll be honest, the subject matter and the blurb nearly scared me away from this book. If I'm being even more honest, the only reason I opted to try it is because Teddy Hamilton is one of the narrators and I just adore his narrations. But, this story just gripped me and was dealt with head on instead of any cheesy way.
This book is low on the smexy scenes, so it might make it more palatable for those that don't like too much sex in their book. Don't get me wrong, this is a LOVE story, and while sex might be part of that, it definitely is not the focal point and is used in a way to enhance and tell the story not as a plot point itself.
