I loved this book!

The chemistry the two of them have is well written. The authors writing style ticks all the right buttons with her sex scenes- after each scene I literally thought to myself “damn that was hot”. I would of enjoyed a few more pen sex and I loved that they were switch.

I liked that the author didn’t drag out the “my dead brother’s boyfriend” dilemma

I knew early on that it was a possibility I’ll hate how this plays out but goodness not reading the letter’s brought this all the way to one ⭐️

“Without You” by Marley Valentine fell short of my expectations, primarily due to its lack of character development. The characters were quite flat, offering only the most basic information about themselves.

Deacon, in particular, came across as uninteresting. His sudden transformation from straight to gay felt unrealistic and poorly executed. Julian showed some promise, but unfortunately, there was not enough depth to his character either.

Despite the high ratings this book has received, it didn’t resonate with me. It seems it wasn’t quite to my taste.

It’s been 10 days since I finished this book and I still think about it everyday. Marley had a work count and she made sure every word counted, honestly I’m not sure there’s even one filler word in here. This book was just the embodiment of intimacy and communication between two of the most well rounded people I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading about. The most fictional part of this book is how well Julian and Deacon communicated. My love for this. Knows no bounds and I know this is the romance book I will compare everything else to :/

Julian and Deacon are one of my all time favorite couples. I still think about their heartache and love for each other well after I've read the book a few times. Their story is beautiful and will always be one of my favorites. Also, if you're into audiobooks, the audio for this is fantastic. Teddy Hamilton and Tim Paige do such a great job of conveying all the emotion in this book.
