Brief summary: Man goes to Hell, gets a tour from a haunt, and each circle supposedly worse than the rest.
Man: Who are you that you ended up in this circle?
Tormented soul: And who are you that you still live and yet you are here?
Haunt: It’s okay, he’s with me. Just answer his questions.
Tormented soul: [tells of his sin on earth and what happened to his body]. Remember me! Get out while you can!
Haunt: jump in my arms, let’s keep going.

That conversation x1000. Ugh.

I will say the gore is pretty neat. Fitting for a Halloween read. But I just couldn’t do it once he got to Purgatory and it was just more of the same. Time is too short to suffer through the rest.
