This book was… disappointing to say the least. Let me start out by saying I LOVE Swan books! But this relationship between the main characters was problematic at best, and emotionally abusive and manipulative at its worst. The spice was there and there were some good moments, but the fact that I wasn’t rooting for the main characters was a big bummer for me. There are triggering moments if you have been in abusive relationships or situations in the past, so big trigger warning! The whole time I was rooting for them to not be together in the end if that gives you any indication about how toxic they were together! The ending was sour too? Super rushed and felt off? Altogether a disappointing read.
