I usually love TL Swan but this one was rough. I almost DNFed it but just kept hoping it would get better. There are few characters that I dislike more than these two walking red flags. Skip this one and go to the Stopover. That is a TL Swan book worth reading.

3 ⭐️ read for me. After reading the first few chapters I wasn’t sure about this book. I am glad I kept reading because it ended up being a fun read. Spicy, chaotic, toxic, and a happy ending. I enjoyed it

3.5ish - not her best, I def prefer miles high

Kingston Lane. “This street is like……. Tinder on Crack.”

Juliet and Henley have an amazing one night stand….and then he ghosts her, she misleads him…..and ……well, they become absolute enemies. Except? Neither can forget that one night.

3 years later……Juliet Drinkwater buys her first home……and discovers it’s right next door to Henley on Kingston Lane!

Henley James
A successful engineer, relationship phobic, who can’t get Juliet out of his mind. Their snarky banter is entertaining, but the back and forth, jealous rages go on forever. For me, it’s too repetitive. Juliet constantly gives in to him even after he says the WORST things to her. Henley is messed up, sure, but for me, Juliet should have walked away and let him figure out his stuff. Instead she gives him chance after chance. But. Juliet’s inner dialogue is certainly fun and many times, laugh out loud funny.

I really loved the secondary characters. Barry the Mutt. He’s a wonderful, entertaining menace. Chloe - Juliet’s best friend - is an absolute delight! So is Rebecca, her new friend from Kingston Lane. The inhabitants of Kingston Lane all have their own baggage (and own agendas) and I’ll certainly want to read future books in this series, I was just disappointed in this one. I do recommend the audiobook to get the full experience of the snarky talk.
