Confirmo una vez más que me gusta mucho la forma en la que escribe Mariana. Encontré unos cuentos bastante buenos y otros más flojos, no malos tal cual, pero con los que no conecté mucho, tal vez un poco "no eres tú, soy yo"...

Incredibly good paced horror that leaves you longing for more. Most of the individual stories were really solid, No Birthdays or Baptisms was particularly gross to me (not a bad thing but ooo wee).

Ones I really liked for the overall themes and felt like the grossness didn't distract me  from being able to feel the whole story was Angelita Unearthed, The Well, Meat, and the Kids Who Came Back. They were moving and gross and haunting. The Kids Who Came Back in particular, with the questions, and the way people blame random people for their problems, how they prefer a peaceful lie to dealing with trauma? Ugh. Well done. Angelita, about how your family history will weigh on you whether or not you've asked for it too? The Well about multigenerational illness and the way people will be angry at you no matter how you deal with it. And Meat, about parasocial obsession and identity. Argh. I really would like to own this collection sometime, so I can return to it again.
