This was the very fist book I ever read, when I learned to read. Actually, I "read" it before I could even read. I made my mom read it to me so many times, I had it memorized! Still one of my favorite books. Pickles is a good cat.

This was my favorite children's book growing up. I loved Pickles the cat. Still have my book somewhere and thumb through it every so often when I need a smile.

Another one I remember reading time and time again when I was a child. It's a sweet story about the determination of a cat adopted by a firehouse.

I used to read this book about every day ever since I was in 2nd grade (Or first, I forgot) and I do have to say, I loved this book so much, I still have it today and I will say, it's still as amazing as it was before.

“You are not a good cat. You are not a bad cat. You are good and bad. And bad and good. You are a mixed-up cat."
For a time, I thought I was feline. I remember luxuriating in the sound of my mom's voice reading those un-preachy words.
