BL has done it again. The relationships between the characters are unique and the growth is heart warming. The multiple story lines that are weaving have me hooked. I cannot wait to dive in again with the next book.

This one was much shorter and had a much more somber tone. Alexis is dealing with the aftermath from a stalker. She's got some healing to do. So things have slowed down and she's triggered often. But our girl is strong.

We got to work out some things here, and I was happy for the realism.

Happy reading, Goodreads fiends.

The further into this series I get, the better it gets, for me at least. I know there’s things coming up that I find difficult, but for now, it’s just getting more interesting.

Perfect!

This was such a good "half" book. So much character and plot development. This continues to be one of my favorite series.

The editing in this one has improved dramatically over previous series titles and I think that ought to be noted. The balance between Lexie's personal life and her calling has all gotten better though I'd still like more focus on the paranormal plot. Overall though while there were things I didn't like, this has been one of the better installments in the series.

⭐ didn't like/DNF
⭐⭐ was okay but I probably won't look for any sequels
⭐⭐⭐ it was good I'll likely read the next one
⭐⭐⭐⭐ I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great and I'll definitely be looking for any sequels
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I loved it so much I'm adding it to my cart to buy paperback

In this book Lexie is dealing with her PTSD and trauma following her kidnapping and assault in the previous book. We get some POVs from the boys as well as Rory (Yay! I fucking love Rory aha).

As each MC is dealing with their trauma their relationships grow and we start to see the development of a relationship starting (hopefully next book).

Again this book happens over a few weeks with a 2 month gap between last book and following the layout from the last book each chapter is a day or half day over approximately two to three weeks.
