Clássico livro de gayzinha jovem se descobrindo e sofrendo em uma cidade no interior. Nesse caso, era no interior da França, o que deixava um pouco mais interessante.
Ao mesmo tempo que eu gostei dele e da maneira mais crua e verdadeira e sem filtros que o autor apresenta os acontecimentos, eu achei uma narrativa meio batida. Já li 1001 histórias iguais e esperava que essa trouxesse algum elemento novo, infelizmente não foi o caso.
Apesar disso tudo, ele ainda é um bom livro pra se ler.

Nejspíš je to vůči te knize nefér. Četla se až děsivě rychle a celé je to tak nějak velmi zdatně odvypravěné, jenže já se neumím přenést přes to, co v ní je. A vím, že to není chyba ani Eddyho ani té knihy, ale tyjo. Občas se mi z toho zvedal žaludek. A to ne jenom z těch explicitních a pro mě naprosto neuchopitelných scén, ale i ze všech postav. Nedokážu se do nich pořádně vžít protože mě všechny zároveň neskutečně štvou, ale taky je mi jich hrozně líto. A tak trošku potajmu doufám, že mi jsou nesympatické kvůli celému tomu nádechu trpkosti a podivného smutného cynismu, který tu knihu obklopuje, a ne proto, že takové opravdu jsou.

I sit here with my son in the park and he runs around barefoot like the other children. I remember I never liked to run barefoot, I had a fear of getting dirty. Just one of the many flashbacks I had while reading this book. A book that perfectly describes the pain of growing up gay in a straight world with a level of detail I wouldn't allow myself to remember.
Loved every moment.
