It's a cute, friends to lover / brother's best friend romance with a good amount of steam and angst but the hero is a bit immature for thirty.

✨️ Dual POV

✨️ Secret Romance

This one had me hooked from the first chapter. Then I got really excited when I got to chapter 2 and saw it was Dual POV. The MCs got together relatively early on in the book and I was worried it would lose the tension from that point, but them keeping their relationship a secret kept the story going. I liked that the MCs communicated and the conflict wasn't built on a miscommunication between them. There were a lot of characters introduced so it was difficult to keep everyone straight. I did like that the characters for the next book in the series were introduced. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

mf - romcom - brothers best friend - small town - town playboy - FMC in STEM - 5 stars. I really enjoyed the forbidden aspect of this book. The brother is working through his own issues and I thought it played well into the trope. Good side characters, great steam with light bondage including safe words and blindfolds. Had me laughing out loud a lot.

4.5 - I absolutely LOVED this friends to lovers, forbidden romance between Andie and her brother's best friend Wyatt. I am slow to the Susannah Nix party but I couldn't resist her new series about a family of ice cream makers. Wyatt is the family screw-up, scared to take a chance on love and his musical ambitions. When he finally takes the plunge and admits his feelings to his best friend's sister the sparks fly. This one has some steamy open door scenes so be warned if that's not your thing (I was 100% there for them). I can't wait for the next installment of this new series coming early 2022. Highly recommended for fans of Penny Reid and Abby Jimenez. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my advanced review copy!

4.5 Stars!!

What I loved most about this new series was the dual POV that allowed us to believe and understand both Wyatt and Andie. They had the chemistry and banter that I love reading in friends to lovers books. They also had trust that resulted in some very steamy and intimate moments that helped tie them together. OMG Those dance scenes were phinominal! Wyatt and Andie made me happy and I hope we get to see more of them in the rest of the series.
I also loved all the friends and family that were included. You really got to know them and it made you feel like part of the community. It also lets you know that more books will be coming. I can't wait for Tanner and Lucy after the tension that was displayed at the end of Wyatt and Andie's story.

Thank you to Susannah Nix and Haver Street Press for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
