Ebook. Purchased. Enjoyed this one a bunch (and not usually a fan of friends to lovers). I’m a sucker for big family romance series and this one was fun, easy, and sweet. Perfect summer/poolside read.

This was a really quick, cute read. I loved both main characters and were rooting for them the whole time. There is a good amount told about the side characters that make me want to read the other books in this series!

What a spicy introduction to the King family!

The “best friends” trope was heavy and I adored it. I loved that the story is told from two different points of views - Andie’s and Wyatt’s. It gives even more insight to how they felt in their pasts and the build up of feelings in the now.

And let me just say, as much as every woman deserves a partner that adores them, Andie could very well be an independent woman who doesn’t need a man for a damn thing. She’s stubborn and level headed and knows exactly what she wants.

Wyatt, on the other hand, was much more of a free spirit. So it was lovely watching the two personalities come together in such wonderful harmony.

I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a romantic, (mostly) light hearted read!

I’m honestly not entirely sure how this book got on my radar, but I’ve had it on my kindle for a while now and thought that summer would be there perfect time to dive into it.

Things I Loved:
* Crowder, Texas: I absolutely adored the town this book is set in and the following of the King family, who own a large creamery in the town. I loved the Rusty Spoke where everyone went dancing on the weekends. It was just a fun setting.
* Andie & Wyatt’s Friendship: This is a brother’s best friend story, but it’s also a friends to lovers story. Wyatt’s best friends with Andie’s brother Josh, but Wyatt and Andie are also good friends. I loved that they had a genuine friendship apart from just having Josh as their connection.
* Andie: I really liked Andie. I thought she was strong and tough and I loved that she didn’t sell herself short. I also cracked up at her messing with Wyatt in public.
* Wyatt’s Growth: Wyatt was easy to love, but I really loved when he realized his worth and realized what was worth fighting for. I felt kinda bad for him at times because he was so special but didn’t believe it. But Josh and Andie were so good to help him realize that.

This one was pretty fun. It’s the first in the series and I’m excited to continue it !

This is an open door romance with explicit detail, innuendo and language.

Closed Door Mods: Ch. 14-15 (a couple of fade to black/descriptive lead up scenes later on)

“I knew in that moment that Andie was seeing me—all of me—in a way I’d never felt seen before.”

4.5/5 ⭐️ “My Cone and Only” is officially one of my favorite reads of 2021!

I’ll be honest, the “brother’s best friend” trope is always either a hit or miss for me. More often than not, the storyline tends to be predictable and the drama always tends to play out the same way.

So I really loved that while Susannah hit a lot of those typical plot points that come with the “brother’s best friend” trope, she also brought a unique aspect to the book with Wyatt’s music storyline along with all of his family drama (and of course all the ice cream talk!)

Wyatt & Andie — I absolutely adored Wyatt! I truly didn’t think I would end up liking him in the beginning, but I was pleasantly surprised by him! His character had so much depth and I loved getting to see the softer and more vulnerable side that Andie seemed to bring out of him. Those two honestly just brought out the best in each other and their chemistry felt so natural and sweet that you couldn’t help but root for them! On the flip side, their physical chemistry was just as palpable and those steamy scenes were >>>

This book was tons of fun! This small town, brothers best friend romance was full of all sorts of feels; a sexy, swoony, romantic escape, and I couldn’t get enough.

Since the very beginning of the story I was hooked on Andie and Wyatt’s story, loving every second of this mutual pining that I so adore in romances. Their friendship and camaraderie were undeniable from the start. But soon enough we could see that so were their chemistry and feelings. More than counting on each other, they started to dream about each other, plan around each other, see a future with each other. I was addicted to their connection, their chemistry, their respect and love. It was impossible not to fall in love along with them.

This was a wonderfully sweet romance. Funny and emotional with the perfect level of steam. I loved it and AND I can’t wait to read Tanner and Lucy’s story next! This is for sure a book series I’m going to keep looking forward to all of its books.
