Took awhile to grip me which isn't the norm for Scottoline's books. I ended up really caring about what would happen to the main character and his family.
Some twists that shocked me into pausing and taking a minute to myself. Character development that leaves you distraught and hopeful in the same breath.

Not sure why I haven't read more from Ms. Scottoline but will definitely add some more to my list as I did enjoy this legal thriller about the Devlin law dynasty. Had a good mix of family dysfunction which most of us can appreciate! IYKYK.
