My loooooooord... the rollercoaster of emotions this book took me through is UNHEALTHY! Originally I didn't think I was going to end up loving this book. When reading dark romances, there are certain things that can occur that immediately give me the ick. I got that feeling at certain points while reading this, but it wasn't overbearing. The book jumps STRAIGHT into the spice and doesn't waste any time trying to grab your attention. I am NOT lying when I say it gives Yellowstone Rip meets Fifty Shades of Grey Ana.

The FMC was giving dodo bird at times, but I'm glad she finally came around. I kept having to remind myself how old she was and how clueless I was at her age as well. As I was reading the book, there were plenty of times I just wanted to slap her upside the head and tell her to get a GRIPPPP chile. But once you find out the backstory, it is completely understandable to see how someone can be groomed into the life she lived.

Now the MMC, DADDY GERAAAAARD??? If you google "unhinged".. I'm sure a picture of him will be RIGHT by the definition! That man said he gone get what he want by ANY means necessary. And he didn't tell not ONE lie, okay? I loved seeing the spicy side (obviously) but I loved that the author also encompassed his soft side. The epilogue had me like Beyonce smiling from ear to earrrrr honey!

I will say that this would not be a good introduction into the DARKKK side, just for the simple fact that the beginning lacks a little bit of the plot. So, if you aren't used to reading smut alone, it could be very hard to get into. But, if you are here for all the SMUTTTTTY vibes and don't mind a slow burn (in the sense of getting to the plot), this book is for you. You get an intro to the plot... a bunch of spice... and then the twists and turns at the end which are worth it. I did rate it 4 stars, simply because of that reason. I just wish it added a bit more of the plot in the beginning to keep readers invested.

for the sexiness of this book! Def Yellowstone vibe! I’m not typically into cowboy romances but give me a DARK cowboy romance ANYDAY!

So spicy that I had to take frequent breaks! 🫣🤣Great read though!

HOLY SHIT! They were not kidding when this book is a mix of Yellowstone and fifty shades of grey! Both Keira and Gerard lived a tough life before meeting in her husband’s office that would spark a love no one could have imagined! The twist and turns were none that I had ever expected and I love that! I usually can see where a story is going before it says it but there were so many unexpected things that happened! This book is #1 for me!

I was so intrigued at the beginning. I'm so happy everything ended with the Garrisons the way it did, it was nice to see Kiera able to be strong in that moment. I would have loved to see Gerard open up more than he did, especially to her. Overall, pretty solid. Great writing. Ranch owner MMC, widow FMC, with some revenge drama and BDSM - all the Yellowstone vibes.

The perfect combination of country and smut. Such a feel good book a little predictable at times.

Predictable just meh

If Fifty Shades of Grey and Yellowstone had a dirty dirty baby
