New to me author.

I did enjoy this one. I love a dark, dirty cowboy. I will say parts of their relationship felt a bit far fetched or felt like there were wholes at times. The plot was interesting especially with her belated husband’s crappy family. I felt like that could have been explained better and more. The Dom/Sub dynamic I always find interesting to see how the author and characters use this relationship. Their’s felt like what I might find in a traditional Dom/Sub relationship and it felt authentic. I am interested to read Westin’s story.

Holy 50 shades of cowboy 🥵🥵

Kiera is a 21 year old who has been given a shit hand at life. From her parents dying when she was young, to marrying an absolute prick and having her farm taken away from her.

Enter Gerard Sovereign. Holy. Hell. 🥵 this roughed up, intimidating cowboy who is 17 years her senior and just ooooooozes sex.

He manipulates things to get his way, but in the end it helps Kiera go from being a doormat to finding herself.. in and out of the bedroom😉

The spice was HOT🔥🔥🔥

50 shades meets Yellowstone is the perfect description of this book! I had a blast reading it, do I know what the plot was? I guess. Was there a plot? That was tertiary, we all know why we're here...a dark romance cowboy...

There were some moments of ick. "I can smell she's ovulating" excuse me? The whole contract is off, contract is on situation was giving me whiplash. The way that the author doesn't really address her getting freedom through the dynamic after being in abusive relationship.

Overall, if you're looking for a dark romance cowboy book this is a great read, if you're looking for an engaging novel with plot driven character development and sophisticated themes maybe skip this one.
