So I have so much to say and at the same time speechless. Listened it as an audiobook and let me tell you this book and light out are so good as audiobooks I prefer to listen to them more than read. The plot was amazing, loved the enemies to lovers and the characters and friendships were amazing .But be prepared is really spicy and I mean REALLY.If you are not into a lot of spice I don't think it's your read.

This book I liked better than lights out and I think she really captured the complications of family and different fields that people might somehow get into
As a dark romance this book leans on to the light hearted parts and it's not too dark .. but it is fun and entertaining ( Loved Nico we love a dark green flag man )

Hilarious and filled with all the dark romance vibes a person could ask for.  I really enjoyed Laurenโ€™s friends and all their banter not to mention Taylorโ€™s choice of a weapon when she thought someone was breaking in, iconic ๐Ÿ˜‚.  There were so many moments of comfort with this book and at times it felt like being apart of their found family and I was all the way here for it.

Nico (Junior) was just as amazing as Lauren.  They were really such a well balanced couple and seeing their history it was an entertaining read to see how things progressed when the odds werenโ€™t in their favor.

Also Laurenโ€™s grandmother was a total icon and I loved her comments so much.  And of course, I loved the mentions of Aly and Josh and their children (the cats).  Josh being a friend to Junior was hilarious and oddly wholesome.

This book definitely lived up to the high hype I had for it!  I even got the audiobook on Libby to follow along as I annotated the paperback.  The narrators did an amazing job!!

The first half of this book started out really well, but I feel like it went a bit downhill from there. I had high expectations from Lights Out, but this book seemed to lack in a lot of places. There was definitely a lot less humorous elements, and honestly, I thought the plot was a little weak. After the halfway point, things just felt a little repetitive and as though they werenโ€™t going anywhere.

I have to say I LOVED Junior, and I really enjoyed seeing more of the Mafia elements and Juniorโ€™s friendship with Josh. Unfortunately, I didnโ€™t really care too much for Laurenโ€™s plotline and couldnโ€™t really connect with her.

Navessa Allen does a great job with inclusivity and representation. The diversity felt effortless, and it was nice to see such a vast array of characters in a book like this one.
