A Princess that saves herself is always a princess I want to read about. The humour in this comic is brilliant XD

Tired of Patriarchy? Well grab a cup of your favorite beverage and settle in for this fun romp through a feminist fairy tale where princesses must save themselves and they are strong enough to do so. This book is full of color and humor, fighting and insults, dragons and overbearing fathers.

I enjoyed this fun book. It made me happy. I will be reading on in this.

Quick graphic novel about a princess who saves herself. It's funny and trying to up-end the standard princess schtick.

Very enjoyable comic. But I feel like I'm Doing It Wrong because my favorite character was the asshole dad.

Loved it! ♥ ♥ ♥

In a way, I feel like I should have known better.

This is a graphic novel that largely does what it says on the tin. There's a princess, and she doesn't need to be saved, and heads off to save herself. The story is fairly well-structured to allow for the conceit to work, but, unfortunately, the book ends up trying far too hard and playing on various tropes as a sort of clue-by-four for a message that will resonate with a certain type of reader in the correct framework of mind while leaving the rest of us to roll our eyes.

If you look at this book, the title, the series, and say "yeah, this is exactly what I'm looking for in a comic," you'll probably love this. If story over message is more your tastes, though, this may be worth skipping for you.

This was a fun graphic novel that addressed damsels who are able to overcome their own problems but also to help those around them. Since this is the beginning, the dialogue and plot seem a little clunky, but that clears up as you continue reading. This would be a great addition to any personal collection or public library.

Go share this with your friends!

Exactly what I needed after that whirlwind of a Sarah J Maas book. :)

Initial thoughts review: YES! YES to ALL of this! A must read for every child (or adult). I love that the old fables are challenged right off the bat. I love the commentary on "women warriors". Seriously, this rocked! Will be sharing my copy with everybody.

This graphic novel is fantastic. This is for anyone who is trying to escape from the damsel in distress stereotype, the vomit inducing dreck that is the pink princess expectation, and the happily ever after clichés, than this story is for you. It is everything you ever wanted from a self rescuing princess, right down to the in your face commentary about the patriarchy. I cannot wait to read the next one.
