I've finally ventured into the stories of Devney Perry.
I remember hearing someone talk about the premise of this series and it sounded very fun, this act of passing the car to the next friend so they can start their journey.
At first this felt a little bland, but slowly I started to get more into it. I think that the book could have been even better if it was a little longer. There were parts where the scenes would cut off and jump to something else. Sometimes that's the key to not having to go through a boring scene, but here I feel like we could have had a few more in between's so the story felt more solid.
But I did enjoy reading this, it was a nice short romance.

What a fun story. I loved it. I can't wait to see where the car ends up.
All the feels for Brooks and Londyn
I have not read a book in so long that genuinely made me cry. Runaway Road brought out all the feelings in me. I laughed and I cried. A time or two I even screamed internally as I waited for these two to make it. Brooks and Londyn’s story was so human and so beautiful. There hasn’t been a single Devney Perry book I haven’t absolutely loved, but something about this one just hit all of my emotions in just the right way. Cannot wait for Gemma’s story!

I read this book because a good reads reviewer I tend to agree with gave it 5 stars. Until 70 percent I was really enjoying the book. The female main character is great. The male lead is that ideal man anyone wants to meet. The fact she takes to the road solo to return a car to someone special is a great story. Her strength is huge. Around 70 percent some things happen that I felt were taken to taken too lightly. If someone really cared they wouldn't be so,, oh well.. At some point someone should have felt jinxed to the point of not moving in that direction. And there is a friend who tells Londyn she always runs away. Well I disagree. And that was a big factor in my 3 star rating. The whole awesomeness of the character is mischarachterized. When she finds her husband having sex with another person that is not running away. She even went through the whole mental process of a divorce. To me that is the farthest thing from running away. She accessed her situation and decided there wasn't anything holding her there and wanted to complete a meaningful mission. She wasn't running away from her feelings. She made an assessment and decision to look for more. Not running away. That's walking towards a goal. That takes strength. And that is what made her character so awesome. So that whole incident in the book then altered what I think the character would have done. Plus the mystery is the other reason for 3 stars. The mystery was not handled in a way I think most people would react to it. And the solution to the mystery is just messed up. Some considered it sweet. Not me! The $! I don't have $ like that to be sweet.. Plus if anyone else did it it would equal jail time. Its not sweet. Its messed up in the head. Its just not a good ending. To be honest neither was the epilog in the book. What the author showed as a cute cozy surprise ending would not have been all roses due to the male characters history. I think it would have rattled his bones at least briefly. Such a bummer. Since the book had SO much potential for an inspirational read. I think the books starts of well but it goes off course at the end. Does anyone agree?
This was a fine story and an easy listen.

It has its sweet moment. There not much in the way of plot though. She enjoyed it but wasn’t in love like I have been with other Devney Perry stories.
“It was a fantasy. I didn’t let myself indulge in fantasy’s often. Hope was something I kept at a firm distance. Disappointment in the other hand was a close companion”
Enjoyed Londyn’s back story but do wish we got maybe some more flashbacks to her childhood in a car yard.
