“You’re one of a kind, Londyn McCormack. I’ve never met another person like you.”

I loved this story. Devney always nails it with her characters and small town romances. I'm always intrigued and pleasantly surprised.
adventurous lighthearted

My heart feels so full right now. This book. A lighthearted, feel-good romance full of swoons and feels. I absolutely loved the heroine, Londyn! She was so used to running away as an escape mechanism until she couldn’t run anymore. Real, long lasting love smacked her in the face in such a short time! I love Brooks with a passion. I adored every moment I spend reading this.

Spoilerwhoa i totally did not see the plot twist at all! turns what it was Wyatt that did the damage to Londyn's cadillac and it was for a good reason. another kid in a book written well again.

initially i was sad that Londyn didn't complete her journey to find Karson. but the ending when Londyn gave Gemma the keys to the cadillac and telling her to go on that journey instead was a nice closure for Londyn's story and a great start for Gemma to go find herself and where she belonged. can't wait to read the rest of the series!

I loved this story about a woman who reinvents herself. She is not ashamed of her past but it is not all she is. Not everyone gets an awesome origin story. Some kids are not loved or taken care of. Some find family in other ways. These kids finding each other and making the best of their situation and form a big connection.
Londyn & Brooks were just so yummy. There’s no huge drama. No big fights. Just an unexpected love story with a couple bumps in the road.
I really need to know about Karsen so I hope he’s got a book coming.

4 stars. What a delightful read. It’s light, romantic, and just what I needed at this time because while I've still been reading I'm having trouble actually enjoying the books that I pick up so this was perfect. It was a really fun read. The characters are lovable and charming and I found it easy to root for them and their relationship.

Londyn and Brooks fall for each other really fast but the way Perry writes it she manages to not make it come across as cheesy. You get those intense feelings from both of them and understand why they feel so much so soon. Perry’s writing is absolutely gorgeous and I love it. She has a way of making the characters feel so real and authentic. The romance was great and Londyn and Brooks had such great chemistry from the moment they met. I loved Londyn’s back story and found it to be very interesting and unique. Brooks has an ex-wife and a teenage son and Perry could’ve easily done some ‘bitter ex wife’ thing but she didn’t which I appreciated because that’s a tired trope. The ending was great and I loved the epilogue because it sets up the next book which follows one of Londyn’s friends from the junkyard.

Overall, if you are looking for a lighthearted and sweet romance I’d definitely recommend this one and I look forward to book two.

This story is showing lighter side of Miss Perry. This book is perfect for road trip where you just want to shout FREE!!

The concept of the story is simple. I am always a fan of Miss Perry' books. The story is min angst/ drama. Smooth like a highway. The characters are not develop so much but enough to maintain the chemistry. While listening to the audiobook,I can feel the sun and the wind blowing to my face.

Miss Perry done a good job bringing road trip aspect to life. Overall this is an OK read.
