I really think I'm missing the point of most of these short stories. I did like the beginning of the story, it seemed like a cool concept and I thought it might have a sci-fi twist to it. But it didn't go anywhere for me, and again, I'm confused by the ending. I think I'm just stupid haha.

This was not what I was expecting. The ending was a bit much for me, and it felt more psychological thriller than real horror - I couldn't really see this as fitting the idea of something in the shadows - but it was an interesting short read. It definitely would have seemed weaker if it was any longer, and it lacked a bit of explanation about the early sessions of the remedy. The final reveal didn't really explain enough for me. But the writing was well done and easy to listen to.

What in the world did I just listen to? Thank heavens it was short. I actually liked the writing and I was into it.. and then that ending. As someone with chronic pain...that was just...crappy. Like...I'm kind of offended and not in a good thought provoking way. I dont want to ruin it. If you want to read it or listen to it (it's free on audible plus)...its short and quick. Plus side...the narrator was good and as I said...I actually enjoyed the writing and was into it until that ending. Like...wtf?
