First off, I loved West and Dillon. Those two are completely lovable!!! The Two Week Stand was a cute, steamy, and all around fun read. I caught myself laughing out loud at some parts. I personally liked the beginning and the ending the best. There were times that had too much inner dialogue that I almost forgot what they were actually talking about. Overall, this was a good and entertaining read.
I was fairly certain at about 20% that this was going to be a DNF for me. So imagine my surprise when I finished it out with a 5-star rating. Initially, I had a bit of a hard time with our heroine, Dillon. I found her to be a bit over the top. BUT, I hung in there for one reason: our hero, West, as I adored him from the get-go. He's flirty, confident, a bit cocky and 100% sure about what he wants...and, he had set his sights on Dillon.
West approaches Dillon with a proposition. {I'm paraphrasing here} "Look. I think you're hot. I want to have sex with you. But, I don't do relationships. Ever. We're both here on this beautiful island alone, surrounded by couples, let's spend the next two weeks enjoying each other and go our separate ways when it's over."
And, that's exactly how it goes. They spend the next two weeks enjoying each other...over and over. They can't get enough. As the two weeks come to an end though, neither feels they are ready to let go just yet.
I am a sucker for the guy who thinks he'll never end up in a relationship, only to find the perfect girl. That is the case here. For a book that I thought was going to be just a lot of spice (don't get me wrong, there definitely is), it's more than that. These two have such a deep connection that I just fell in love with them. Theirs is a sweet love story with little, to no drama. It's one I'd easily pick up for a quick and easy reread anytime.
I think the saving grace of this book was Samantha Towle's writing. I'm pretty sure if this would have been any number of other authors, it would have been a DNF for sure. This is the second book of hers that I've read and really enjoyed, so I'm looking forward to reading more of her work.
P.S. There's a super, sexy, hot game of Never Have I Ever *phew*

“No fucking way you’re single. You’re hot—like super hot—and super-hot guys are never single.” Good to know she thinks I’m hot. Not that I doubted she would. I mean, I’m a good-looking bastard, and she’s not made of wood.
“Well, you know, sometimes, super-hot guys like me are single.” I put my bottle to my lips and empty the contents.
“You’re really single?”
“Yep.”
“I’m not the kind of guy who is ever last in line for anything.”
“Look … Dillon, I’m a straightforward guy, so I’m just gonna say what I wanted to say to you last night but couldn’t because you were trashed.”
“Okay …” My heart starts to thrum in my chest. I lift my bottle to my lips and take another sip of beer.
“I think you’re hot,” he continues. “And I want to fuck you.”
There are two things in life I excel at. Football and fucking.
Give me a chance, and I’ll make you feel things you never knew existed.”
“How do you know I haven’t experienced those things already?”
“Because you haven’t been fucked by me.”
When his fingers touch the bottom of my boob, he freezes. “You’re not wearing a bra,” he says against my lips.
“I was in bed.” He groans.
“I need to see them. You. Now.”
I’ve never been inside such a tight pussy. I don’t know if it’s because she’s so physically small—the women I usually fuck are taller than Dillon—or if it’s because she has the magical unicorn of pussies.
“Isn’t getting your dick wet the only thing you think about now?” I tease. He gives me a serious look.
“No. I also think a lot about getting your pussy wet.” Oh. My.
Just when I think sex with him can’t get any better, that we’ve finally reached our peak, he goes and proves me wrong with hammock sex.
“What should we do first?” She turns to me, hands going to her hips. “Explore the island a little? Swim? Sunbathe?”
“I vote we fuck.” She playfully rolls her eyes.
“We had sex earlier.” She means, when we woke up. That was a few hours ago. When did a few hours become a long time in between bouts of sex?
Since her.
“I want you,” she whispers into my mouth.
“You have me.” And in this moment, she does.
I swallow all of her breathy moans, feeling like I’m going to lose my mind any fucking second now because nothing has ever felt this good.
My real life is chaotic and stressful. But here, with her … it’s not. I’ve never felt as content and at peace as I am when I’m inside her. I honestly have no fucking clue what to do with that knowledge.
“Dillon.”
“What?” I kiss her. Not to shut her up. But because I have to. Because, fuck … I like her. Really like her.
“I need you inside me.” My chest is dancing up and down with excitement.
“I know I said inspirational fuck but quickie now. Long, inspirational fuck later.”
When West says quickie, he means no foreplay. Not that this will be quick. The man doesn’t know the meaning of the word.
I slip my hand between her legs and press my palm to her panties. “Soaked, like I thought.”
She leans forward and presses her hand against my cock. “Hard, like I thought.”
Fuck, she’s hot.
“I’m gonna fuck you so hard.” I yank down the front of her dress and capture her nipple with my teeth.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” she pants.
“The best one I’ve ever had.”
“What if someone comes in?”
“No one’s coming.” Except for us. “Get my cock out.”
Our eyes meet. Her blues so wide. So trusting. So needy. I cup her face with my hand and glide my thumb over her lips. Lips that are painted red. I want that lipstick all over my mouth. Grabbing a handful of her hair, I tug her mouth down to mine and kiss her. Her tongue sweeps over mine, and this sudden, intense urgency to have her, to be even closer to her, hits me out of nowhere. It’s like a thirst. A hunger I need to sate. I need more of her. All of her. What’s happening to me? I feel dizzy. Hot. Needy.
“I love you, Double D. Pretty sure I have since the moment you stumbled into the bar on the island.”
“You fell in love with me that night?” I give him a dubious look.
“Okay, well, maybe not that exact night. It was probably the night you let me stick my dick in you the first time."
I can't believe that I ever thought I didn't need someone. That I didn't need her. Dillon is my whole life. Every decision I make, I make with her in mind.

Talk about steamy scenes!! If you want smut, with a side of storyline, then The Two-Week Stand is the book for you! Samantha Towle has been an author I’ve dipped in and out of over the years, and whilst the Two-Week Stand wasn’t my favourite book by her, it was still a fun and steamy read!
When Dillon finds out her fiancé has been cheating on her, she flees on their non-refundable honeymoon to the Maldives, knowing she’ll spend the entire two weeks surrounded by happy couples, and drowning her sorrows in cocktails most of the time. So, when she meets gorgeous and charming West at the bar, there’s this instant attraction, and when he helps her out of a sticky situation, they strike up a friendship. When West puts forward the idea of a friends with benefits situation, with an expiration date of the end of their trip, Dillon is hesitant at first, knowing that if she lets West in, she’s going to have her heart broken once again. But the chemistry is too much to resist and they spend two weeks caught up in their lust bubble. But the problem is, when their two-week stand comes to an end, will their bubble burst?
So, there were some aspects I liked about this book, for example how upfront West was at the start with what he wanted, he didn’t lead her on at all. The entire island part of the book was my favourite because they were so caught up in each other, and there were some very steamy, intense bedroom scenes, very insta lust. But what I didn’t like was that by 50%, there was still nothing other than lust between them. There was way too much internal monologue from both of them, and when Dillon says in her head that she’s starting to fall there is no indication as to why, she barely knows anything about him, and they haven’t had any deep moments other than West saying how she’s different to other girls (what a line). There was no communication between them, that’s what ruined it for me, because West so scared of actually feeling something, and Dillon was scared she’d scare West off by admitting she was feeling more.
By the end they were doing everything a couple does, but no commitment, and it felt like West just wanted an easy get out clause, even though they were a couple just without the labels or the admitted feelings. This ruined his whole character for me, he went from this sexy man to someone who was a very immature man child. I actually wish they didn’t end up together, because quite frankly Dillon deserved way more than that. Yes, she was flaky and knew she’d fall when she went in, but West was heartless and actually showed no kind of feelings for her on the outside, gave no indication once that he wanted more from her other than wanting to sleep with her and say he liked her for her looks. But worst of all he managed to convince himself he was doing the best FOR her, because he couldn’t be the man she wanted – er news flash, you had been the guy she needed for the entire fling, literally nothing needed to change. She never put pressure on you, never asked for anything, wasn’t using you for your name or status, she just wanted the guy she met on the island.
The grovel at end was okay, but I still never became invested in them as a couple. I would say for an easy and smutty read, this is the perfect book, but I would’ve liked a bit more substance to their relationship earlier on than the very end. By 84% I need something more from the hero other than he finds the heroine hot and wants to sleep with her, definitely not him trying to convince himself he doesn’t want more than a fling, having never admitted feelings to her once throughout the book. Not my fave but not the worst!

I have been a loyal reader of Samantha Towle's books since the beginning. I was so excited to get the chance to read this book. The majority of this book takes place in the Maldives and was the perfect escape from the current end of winter chill.
Dillon and West are spending their vacations alone for various reasons. While Dillon is trying to escape heartbreak, West does not truly believe that love exists. When the two meet, they know that their chemistry is off the charts. However, neither is looking for a long-term commitment. So, two weeks feels perfect. However, what happens when feelings begin to development between them and they both begin to question their arrangement.
I truly liked this book. It was a great escape and fun to read. There was a great combination of romance and humor. You should definitely give it a chance.

3 Stars
Smut level: 4/5
Ahhhhhh I'm annoyed. I really enjoyed most of the book, but then after the characters were no longer on holiday it all fell apart for me.
There was a twist that was ridiculous and a few other aspects that were just wrong and should not have been included.
I also felt the book was a little 2D. I have read plenty of romances where the only real characters are the 2 leads, however I love it when they have friends or side characters that they can bounce off and really show their personality with someone other than the love interest. For me, this was really lacking and I felt it would have improved the book.
Some of the good things are the smut, the lead characters and the humour.
I would recommend reading it and it would have been a 4 star read if the last 25% had been better.

2.75* I'm not a fan of insta-love stories, so you bet I wasn't into the insta-wanna-fuck-you-against-the-nearest-wall plot. But hear me out. It wasn't BAD. It just lacked depth. There was no angst, not that much drama, and yet so. much. smut. Apart from that first night at the bar and two or three activities, all we got to see them doing on the island was "fuck". Their relationship development reduced to how great they were in bed together. So you can guess it got boring pretty easily.
In terms of characters, I hated West. There. I said it. I wasn't into his "confident bastard" attitude. The urge to punch him in the face every time he opened his mouth and a cocky remark came out was too strong. I read this book on the train to/ from work, and you would not believe the amount of times I lowered my phone and just sat there facepalming myself into oblivion. While straightforwardness is often considered a "pro", remarks like "I think you're hot, and I want to fuck you" made me nauseous. Like... way to approach a woman who just got cheated on.
And Dillon.... why was she so plain??? It annoyed me to no end the fact that she knew exactly what was right for her (I mean, she sure ranted a lot) and then decided to do the exact opposite. MORE THAN ONCE.
Weirdly enough I actually guessed the mystery behind West's dad, which ended up being quite pointless because not much came from it. And that ending???? If a guy broke up with me, then visited my work place and asked me how I've been doing as an attempt to get me back... HE'D FOR SURE CATCH THESE HANDS.
