The vibe was cozy and the characters really loveable but the mystery itself (which is the most important part ngl) was extremely predictable and Jen started to annoy me because it was so obvious who the murderer is. The book was still enjoyable.

It took me awhile to get through this book, but towards the end of the Book i felt more hooked into the Story. Throughout the Story you could also kind of Predict who was the murderer, I feel it lacks a little bit of depth and the Character development is missing a little. Feel like Sue Minix should’ve added more grieving because in real life a Character like Jen would’ve been devastated about her Friend getting murdered and not gone to investigate immediately… I still enjoyed reading the Book so overall it was a 3.5 Star and I will take a look at the other Books of this series :)

It was a nice, fun mystery. I really should have read it in one sitting; it is that kind of book. I might look into the remaining books in the series. It was fun enough.

Pretty easy to predict the ending, sometimes I had fun with it sometimes I didn't
I don't know it's just not really a great book. But the cover is cute.

The atmosphere in this book was very well-crafted! It made me feel like I was actually living in the small town where the story takes place. The bookstore had a cozy feel to it, and there was just the right amount of mystery. While it may not be the best book I've ever read, that's alright.

However, my biggest issue with this book is the lack of depth and growth in the characters. The entire book relies heavily on the vibes, and it could have been so much better if the characters had been more original. I'm hoping that in the second and third books, we will see more development and complexity in the characters.

In conclusion, although the book had a charming setting and atmosphere, the lack of character development was a major drawback. It would have been more enjoyable if the characters had been more unique and multidimensional. Hopefully, the next books in the series will delve deeper into the backgrounds of the characters and provide the growth that was missing in this installment.

It took me a few months to get to the last page. I guess from the few mystery books I've read, It is pretty dificult to write a good murder mystery. The title and the cover of the book didn't match what was inside it. Like cmon none of the people were killed at the book store....I MEAN THAT'S IN THE TITLE!!! And omg on the cover... there is a cat....but at the end of the book Jen got a dog, brotha, what da hell...no...no... I'm sorry but it felt like Sue Minix didn't think well trough about the characters and the plot. I didn't even like the main character...:(
I mean I wanted to read the book, I did it and ummm I guess now I know there is a reason for a saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover"...:(
I'm sorry but the book is pretty disappointing, I don't really have specific reason to why but I just didn't connect to anything that has to do with this book....
