A ton of fun. Relentless plot that skates a little close to ridiculous but in a forgivable and hilarious way. This was like a mash up of my favorite Gilmore Girls episodes, While You Were Sleeping, and the best kind of cheesy action movie. I adored Agnes! One of the best FMCs I’ve come across in romance.
Jennifer Crusie is a reliable go to for humor and romance. I wasn’t very happy with the number of killings in this book, so I’m going to blame that on the collaboration with Bob Mayer and stick to books Ms. Crusie writes on her own from now on.

Agnes is my new role model. I am legit considering a WWAD plastic bracelet, though not, perhaps, in flamingo pink.
This story is snarkily funny and full of over-the-top ridiculous twists that I am 100% here for. As perfect as the ending is, I still can't help kind of wishing this were the first of a series.

SO good!! This one was set at a large, old southern mansion that Agnes is trying to refurbish. While she's trying to bake cupcakes somebody comes in and threatensher with a gun. She whacks him with a frying pan, and he falls through the wall into a basement she didn't know she had. It just gets better from there, and Jennifer always has the BEST heroes!
Hilarious! I enjoyed listening to the book on cd. The main character, Agnes is warm and just a little bit crazy. Combines good cooking, the mob, and a big time wedding. There are lots of twists and turns, but the characters are all so enjoyable.

Hilarious, zany, irreverent, and oddly heartwarming, this is one of the funniest books I have read in years. Favorites shelf.
