Thank you, anonymous library patron.

This book was hilarious! It's about cooking (plus), has a woman who hits her cheating fiances (and yes, there have been more than one) in the head with frying pans, is a COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS crime story (random swamp rednecks are trying to kidnap Agnes' dog while the mob is trying to kill Shane (the superhot hitman) while Brenda (Agnes' best friend's mom) is trying to sabotage her own granddaughter's wedding so that Agnes' house will be foreclosed). There are shenanigans involving flamingos, a kid nicknamed Three Wheels b/c he fell of his tricycle once, lots of bombs, a Venus de Milo statue, a bomb shelter, and lots of and lots of frying pan violence.

Once again, Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer make it happen. Probably my favorite collaboration between these two authors so far.

I absolutely love this book!! I've re-read it numerous times and still laugh everytime. I loved Agnes and how she would go off on the men in her life. They would often end up physically harmed or dead. Frying pans and forks seem to be her weapon of choice. The way she was hearing her doctor in her head when she would become upset, hilarious! She's smart, corky, and independent! She and Shane are are a perfect match; she's crazy and a little violent, and he's a hitman. So sweet how he helped her out with her to-do list. lol :) I would really love to see a book #2 of Agnes. By far my favorite Jennifer Crusie book!

Yes! Oh I'm so happy that I found another book of hers to love! This definitely made up for the last two disappointments.

Off to continue my Crusie binge. Hope the next one will be just as awesome as this one. *crosses fingers*

This is an entertaining, funny story, but it wasn't satisfying as a romance for my taste. Agnes and Shane basically just fell together, and there wasn't much emotional depth.
