This book is laugh out loud funny, a totally madcap romp with more twists and turns than a Smokey Mountain Road. I particularly like the heroine, Agnes, whose take charge attitude and anger management issues make her a refreshing heroine. If I had any complaint, it would be that the often over the top--but still highly entertaining plot--overshadows her relationship with the hitman, Shane.

Gave it 60 pages. Kind of silly. Got a little boring for me.

I really enjoy the combination of sweetness and humor and cynicism that defines Crusie’s writing. The beginning of this started too violent but I’m glad I persisted.

I love Jennifer Cruisie's humor. There's always something going on, the tension never slips or fades and I end up laughing at least once a chapter.

I wasn't sure how this combo from one of my favorite romance authors and a thriller author would work, but it was hilarious and really fun to read. I'd tell them to really tone down the profanity, though-- I don't think romance readers like to read that many f words... (at least I don't)

( this review won't make sense to some people but I don't care lol)

Agnes is cranky.
Brenda's a conniving bitch.
Shane to the rescue.
