FINALLY I am out of my rut (in which nothing would satisfy me except Dramione). This was kind of similar vibes. Did I know I would care about a Little Mermaid retelling? No. Did I absolutely love it? Yes.
The heroine was a bit naive at the beginning, but not stupid - just optimistic. The Sea Witch was a dark cinnamon roll, and somehow that is a thing. There were lovely moments and sentiments all throughout, and I enjoyed watching the characters grow. The plot structure was odd but ultimately I wasn't bothered by it.

I really enjoy this author so I highly recommend this book if you’re into monster romances and darker erotic fairytale retellings. It was real rough for me to get through tho.

Little mermaid retelling with a male sea witch. Had me giggling and smiling a ton. Fun multi-layered political/magical storyline with a jerk of a prince you want to stab.
