The Sea Witch by Rebecca F. Kennedy. 4 Stars, 3 Peppers. Instead of Ursula, we have Zoltan. He sees the opportunity to utilize Averil, our Little Mermaid, to break into the Palace and steal something back for him. He teaches her to seduce the human Prince Kerrin to make him propose, but Averil and Zoltan are inexplicably drawn to one another despite Zoltan being her father's enemy and Zoltan trying to force himself to focus on his vengeance. Averil grows through the book from endearing, if not naive, little princess while Zoltan opens himself up.

Try if you like fairy tale retelling, morally grey men, and tentacle porn.

It took me a bit to get through this. It wasn’t terrible. I’m rounding up from 3.5 stars. I expected a bit more smut, and the plot was a little bit predictable but I still enjoyed it. Just wasn’t quite what I expected from the synopsis.

Little Mermaid isn't my favorite tale but this was fun, with a believable relationship development. I'll read more from this author.

Hahahahahaha prince Eric can suck it

A fun little mermaid retelling. I really enjoyed Averil, and watching her grow. And the Witch was definitely alluring. I enjoyed spending time with these two, and watching them learn and grow.
