This one just... stopped? I feel like she should have waited until it was a fully fleshed novel.
This is quick little novella wrapping up some other storylines from the novel 28 Summers that was released in 2020. I listened to the audiobook while baking some Christmas cookies, easy listening, easy to follow. I have a love-hate relationship with Elin Hilderbrand’s books. I like them because they’re easy reading, however, I feel like they often lack substance. I wish there was more most of the time. Overall, for a novella related to another book it was enjoyable enough.
Don't waste your time.
To be fair, I wasn't a fan of 28 Summers, but I thought this might provide... something that would get me to like that book more. Nope.
I can't bring myself to like Jake, who cheated on his wife every year. I didn't remember much of Leland and Frey, or Cooper.
I wanted more from Link and Bess and didn't get it.
Overall, it seems like this is just another way for the author to get more money without coming up with anything new. The end of this book was terrible. Not much was addressed from the previous book (that was the author's excuse for releasing this). Don't bother.

I was all-in on this book, until the very end, when Jake gets back with Ursula. Whyyyyyy? Lame.
I found this short story follow up to 28 Summers a cute read! In this story, Mallory's family and friends return to her Nantucket cottage to right their wrongs after losing Mallory to cancer in 28 Summers. The ending of this story spoiled it for me as I was hoping Mallory's brother was really changing for the better, only to revert to his old ways at the end.
Rounded up from 3.5 stars. I wanted more after 28 summers, but did not love this ending.

I enjoyed 28 Summers. This book, however, was pretty predictable. I dis not care for the ending, so I give this sequel 3 stars.
fast-paced
I liked how this wrapped up the last book.
