3.5 stars. Art is good and the writing itself isn't necessarily bad, but I'm bummed out about the retcon. Just feels like it takes something away, even though America herself was still great in this.

Too much demystifying of her powers, so I’m not the biggest fan

An enjoyable read though I felt everything happened a little too quickly for me to get heavily invested in anything.

It's an enjoyable run! The art is clear, vibrant and exciting, the characters feel well realized and the stakes appropriately raised.
I just really didn't like the changes to America's backstory and past--taking a "I come from a better place" and making it "I was a deluded child" is quite the wrench in the works when the character has been around for years already.

The retcon felt like some erasure of queer love and family.
