Man aaah I love this series !! I loved the last line, cant believe I didn’t see it coming considering the title of the fourth book. Very sad about the ending. The whole narrative is coming to a beautiful close and I cant wait to see what happens in the next instalment. Like the Uglies series, I know these books will stay with me for a while yet

Rafi is SAVAGE. I can’t believe she did all that to her own sister, it hurts my heart. Rafi is like the obsessive abusive stalker boyfriend; she neggs, gaslights, manipulates, and uses Frey to the very end.. down to alienation via murder. Intense.

also props to Scott Westerfeld for skillfully embedding reminders of past books into this one...I felt like I could follow it nicely without having to turn to a wiki every few minutes even though it's been awhile since I read the previous books. I really admire how prescient his writing is and yet how relatably teenage his characters are!

Narration is tough going, but I’m invested in the storyline. I can’t remember what happened even though I just finished it. But it was alright. Something to do while puzzling.
