Interesting insight into one event that shaped the Darkling as a person. This short story makes you feel sympathy for a child who had to run and hide all his life, never truly being able to make friends and trust anyone other than his mother and himself.
The incident in this story planted the seed for him to want to create a Ravka in which Grisha did not have to hide and live in fear.

Artwork TRULY helped to bring this short story to life. Story itself was okay, cool to learn more of the Darkling but it wasn't enough! (It never is!) Graphic novel was a great decision to get traction on this.

Simplemente guau, que manera de escribir me dejó sin palabras.
El Oscuro fue uno de los personajes que más me interesó del Grishaverse, en este relato se aclaran bastantes cosas del cómo llego a ser lo que es. Se muestra claramente de que nunca fue un monstruo, lo obligaron a manejar un poder muy grande a temprana edad. Tengo bastantes cosas para decir de este relato, me dejó impresionada.

Me encanto ver al Darkling de pequeño, como de dura era la vida de los Grisha antes. Ahora comprendo la brutalidad de sus acciones, él nació en un mundo en donde sólo los más fuertes sobrevivían.
La frase que resume este personaje sería: "O mueres joven como un héroe, o vives lo suficiente para convertirte en un villano".
