Nobody’s Fool by Harlan Coben is book two in the Detective Sami Kierce series. This is my first book by Harlan, I’m hooked and will be reading all his books!! If you like mysteries, suspense, twists and turns, and sarcasm then you will love this book!!
Victoria Belmond was missing for 11 years until one day she showed up in a diner and wouldn’t say a word and no memory of where she’s been. Sami Kierce was a former cop who got into a lot of trouble and after being discharged from the force is now a private investigator. He also teaches a college detective class. Sami finds out that the man who murdered his fiancée is getting out due to a technicality is on a mission to put him back. This mission leads him down a path of finding a woman named Anna who ghosted him when he was backpacking through Spain with his friends from college. He almost went to jail for a murder he didn’t commit and he later finds out she never died. This book took me on so many twists and turns I didn’t want to put this book down. This book made me laugh a lot too Sami’s sarcasm and sense of humor added so much to this book!! I have now become a huge fan of Harlan’s books!! This is a must read and I cannot recommend enough.
