It was an interesting read, the problems I had with this novel had absolutely nothing to do with the author's prose or plot and were more my personal views on tropes or cliches (miscommunication is always something that isn't particularly entertaining to me in some contexts) I loved the main characters and found the mix of fantasy and 1880s London refreshing! some people will find this a more enjoyable read than I did.
