Amelia Kulmuri on loistava hahmo, joka kasvoi paljon ensimmäisen kirjan aikana. Kuningas Vladimirin salaisuus paljastui: hänen poikansa Tangine on vain puoliksi pimeyden olento. Hänen kadonnut äitinsä on nimittäin keiju.

Tässä toisessa osassa Amelia ystävineen auttaa vampyyri-keijupoikaa äidin etsimisessä Valon valtakunnan puolelta. Samalla he tulevat paljastaneeksi ylhäisten yksisarvisten poliitisen kähäröinnin ja propagandan painamisen, sillä totuus on, etteivät valon ja pimeyden olennot ole vaarallisia toisilleen.

Nerokas opetus suvaitsevaisuudesta ja valeuutisista alleviivaamatta turhaan. Näitä pystyy lukemaan tai kuuntelemaan jo ekaluokkalainenkin.

I really enjoyed this one. It’s such a fun story with the cutest characters. I love their relationships and the adventures they get up to. I don’t think I liked the setting of this one as much as the first book as I love the world of Nocturnia and really missed it in this book but it was still great!

I feel like I give too many books 5 stars but I just genuinely love those books that much for all different reasons. This one gets 5 stars because of the story, because of the villain! How they found out who he was and the truth about their world was amazing, I thought it was really well done.

Based on the first book, the reveal of the villain and the truth of their world was much darker than I expected given the light, fun, cute feel of the first book and the first half of this book. I love the characters, old and new and really want to read the third book in the series.

This was fun! I just didn't enjoy it as much as the first book.

The Amelia Fang series is perfect for when I just want a light, entertaining, super-quick read. This one was easily my favourite of the two I've read so far.

It's a quirky book with no attempt at logic (apparently putting a horn on a yeti makes her blend in with unicorns!) but then logic isn't the point! It's charming and fun.

Laura Ellen Anderson is not only the author of the series but the illustrator too, and I love her style so much. I also adore the cover designs and sprayed edges - the books are simply a pleasure to look at.

Read- March 2020 for Middle Grade March
- This really is just a wonderful series to jump into at any point.

An entertaining sequel to Amelia Fang and the Barbaric Ball, following the kind-hearted vampire and her friends as they bravely set off on an adventure to the Kingdom of the Light to rescue Tangine’s mother. This story kept me smiling the whole way through with it’s quirky characters and humorous anecdotes.
