This was such a cute and funny read!! I’m actually a massive fan of k-dramas, been watching them for 7 years now!

And I just found myself cracking up with the little references that the main protagonist was referring to. The story had a great structure, and I really enjoyed not only the witty story telling of Desi - but the insight we were able to receive in the end about Korean dramas, about life and the unexpected nature of life.

I do feel that our heroine was a little too much in her own head, though that’s just her characterisation and the way she is supposed to be portrayed. Luca was a pretty good love interest, the fact that he wasn’t your typical ‘arrogant’ and ‘dark’ hero that you typically read in YA rom-com fiction. Instead, there were little traits about him which were not perfect, but made him more adorable and relatable.

Like the fact he ran out of breath after running a short while, or that he’s a bit of a wimp. These things just made him even better!

Really enjoyed this story, the characters and its plot!

I'm going to be unapologetic in my love for this book like I am unapologetic in my love for kdramas. This was funny, sweet, dramatic, cute, and my kind of story. I can't wait to read more from this author.

4.5 Stars. THIS WAS SO CUTE!!! As someone who has a few K-dramas under her belt, this book channels that energy perfectly! I loved it!

this was so so so so so cute thank you maureen goo

Light, frothy fun. I liked the main character, Desi, a lot. I liked her dad too. Their relationship was sweet. The use of K Dramas was clever and entertaining, but ultimately taken too far. By the end, I was irritated. Still, solid 3 stars.

Actual rating 3.5/5 stars.

DID NOT FINISH

DNF - too much stupidity, the writing is too immature (not in the sense that the main character is, although that is also true, but in the sense that the author has trouble making characters' voices distinct and characters themselves believable).

Ha I see Kdrama, I add to TBR.

Okay, that was seriously just the most ridiculous, silly but fun thing I've read in a long while.

I do not condone the actions of our main girl, and it was definitely nothing new or complex to consider, but it poked fun at some of the ridiculous Kdrama tropes and was just a hoot, especially the first half.

4 stars. So endearing and laugh out loud funny.
