i went in to this with like middle expectations despite this being right up my alley for numerous reasons but i did not expect to enjoy this so much????? like YES it was cheesy but i ADORED it i had SO MUCH FUN reading it !!!!!!!! no cause i’m LITERALLY obsessed with this book!! there are so many good things about it like the characters, the relationships between them, DESI LEE BEING A WONDERFUL MC SHES SO RELATABLE AND FUNNY AND WONDERFUL YOURE ROOTING FOR HER THE ENTIRE TIME, and luca being SUCH a dreamboat like fr.
it was the perfect light-hearted romance with a wonderful father/daughter relationship that was 🥺 near to my heart and just. WAHHHH this was such a nice read <3 could not stop smiling throughout MWAH (also the dread from reading love triangles in the synopsis and reading about NONE my beloved <3)

tl;dr review: The cringe factor nearly made me give up a few times—there are so many movies and TV shows I can't watch because of my wussy tolerance to it—but I persevered and this is so super cute. Desi is ridiculously adorable and enthusiastic and diligent, and I want to adopt her dad.
I loved this story from beginning to end! The best contemporary I’ve read in a while like wow!

The only character that I liked in this book was Desi's dad, he was so cute and likeable :)
At moments, the book reminded me of To All The Boys and I liked that
The hardcore nerd in me did not like the part when SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER *********** **************************** Desi didnt get into Stanford because she missed her interview because of a guy... Girl... Education first, boys second!!

I really enjoyed this book! The plot was cute (but so predictable lol) and it was a very nice, easy and entertaining read! It “only” got 3.5 stars, though, because it was one of those typical YA-contemporary novels. Also, the characters were the ones you meet in every other novel like this one.

Sweet romantic comedy that goes down light and easy. I think the ending resolved a bit too neatly between our leads, but still an excellent read.

If you're looking for a super cute, super lighthearted, and easy read- this is it. You don't need to know too much about K dramas, but if you do, you're gonna totally be the nerd who knows which scene she's talking about. Lol.
A beautiful combination of funny and serious, of love and hope, and of family and the things we're passionate about....go read it!!!!
