This is book 2 in the Villetti Chronicles, and it is now the 2nd son’s turn to find his HEA. I will say that I have never read a book where a character is demisexual, and it was a fantastic read to learn about that.

Theia hasn’t had it easy; she was trafficked and exploited for two years before being rescued and given a safe place to stay with others like her. Theia takes a job at Zayn’s club, Desecration, to reclaim her power, but there are still things she isn’t willing to do, and she does not let clients touch her.
Zayn hands the reigns of being the boss of their father’s empire over to Gil because he genuinely doesn’t want to do it. Gil is known for being his father’s unemotional killer, and it’s not a title he enjoyed much but was good at his job. It’s not known by many that Gil is a demisexual, and when he finds himself intrigued by Theia, he enlists the help of Remi to be able to see Theia secretly. He only wants to talk to her, which throws her off.

These two are adorable together, and their build-up is so well done. Theia respects his boundaries and always asks before she initiates anything, even something as simple as holding his hand. It takes Gil some time to realize his feelings for her, and he fumbles a bit. I will say that just as she respects his boundaries, he respects hers and even listens to her wishes to help fulfill a fantasy of hers. As you can imagine, this book is a slow burn, which is absolutely worth the wait. Sarah never disappoints on spice, and I would love to have a man like Gil.

Everyone’s favorite fixer, Penn, makes an appearance, and it’s delightful as always. I don’t care how long we have to wait for Penn’s book; I adore every little glimpse we get of him. I also enjoyed Gil’s self-proclaimed best friend Edric, who enjoys getting on Gil’s last nerve but knows when to dial it back.

We will see more of Edric in Verona’s novella, which I’m sure will be fantastic.

Sarah Bailey just keeps them coming!! I swear every single book I have read by Sarah has been AMAZING! You best believe Titan was just as good! Just keep them coming because I promise, you won't disappoint!

I don’t know who I loved more in this book. Theia or Gil. I can’t decide. Theia has been through the wringer and I mean… I don’t know how she continues to remain strong, but she does. She is truly beautiful and just another one added to my list of favorite characters.

Gil… baby… where do I even start with you? This man left me speechless. He left me needing and wanting more. I was so surprised by his character and who he was. He was the first character I’ve read who identifies with that sexuality. (I’m not trying to spoil.) Honestly, it was perfect for him and Theia. Once again, another character of Sarah’s that’s on my top list of favorites.

Another book finished and left me wanting more. This is another must-read and I promise you will not be disappointed. Let’s just say, I am so ready for the next book in the Villetti series, let’s go!!

P.S. Is there anyway way I can just have all the guys in the Villetti series as my own personal harem?

blown away.. again!

I have read so many of Sarah’s books and everytime I read a new one I go “surely this is my favorite” and then she releases a book and blows me away.

She did that to me with “Titan”. I loved the rawness of Gil and Theia. Watching both characters heal and grow. The run ins with characters from other books, including Penn - just made my heart so happy.

Once again, I’m left in awe.

"No one had ever made me feel more validated in my feelings and emotions than this man. And I couldn’t help but be grateful he was fighting my corner with every inch of his being. Because I would do that for him too. Always."

Book 2 in the Villetti Chronicles is all about Gilberto (Gil). He is now the head of the Mafia but doesn’t think he is good enough for the job. He meets Theia a dancer at his brothers club and they form an unlikely friendship. Meeting in room four to talk is not Theia’s usual schedule but she agrees and he tells her everything. Over time feelings develop and Theia opens up about her past.

This book was just great, Gil on the outside is closed off and grumpy but really is sweet and soft on the inside. Theia is a badass, she’s confident in her work as a sex worker and so brave after everything she has been through. I loved the catch up with Zayn and Ari, and also Arlo and Rina. Overall another great read

Sarah writes some of the most fantastic and compelling characters. Just when you think you have your absolute favourite she introduces you to someone new who you love equally or more.

Gil struggles with his new role as the head of the mafia. He was always meant to be the spare and he’s afraid of letting everyone down.
He is drawn to Theia after he meets her at his brothers club. He begins to see her regularly, just to talk. She is instantly attracted to him but accepts that he wants a platonic relationship.
When her past comes back and threatens her safety and freedom Gil will do anything to protect her.
It was awesome watching these characters develop into more confident versions of themselves.
Gil accepts Theia and doesn’t want her to change. He embraces and fulfils her needs.
Their relationship is sweet and becomes very spicy.

So much growth

Theia and Gil may be one of my favorite couples to date. This book wasn’t as spicy as some of the other books I’ve read by Sarah Bailey but the plot was amazing. She’s a dancer in the club Zayn owns, and he’s the Second Son of the Villetti family. What could these two possibly have in common? She’s working through her trauma, and his sexuality makes finding connections difficult. But when these two get together? Their chemistry is explosive. Amazing plot, amazing spice, absolutely love this story.
