It took me a while to get through this, as I’ve been very busy. But, even though it says hear that it took me a month to read it, I only read pages every now and then, and I’ve enjoyed it every time!
I watched the HBO series before I read the book. I really, really loved the show, so I just had to read the book as well. And even though I already knew everything, I enjoyed every page of the book. Some things were different, some characters from the show wasn’t a part of the book and the other way around. And it was very well written! I would definitely recommend it!
Five big stars!

I'm not sure I can finish it. I love thriller, so much. But everything in this book kinda bothering me. I wanna enjoy it, but I just can't.
I enjoyed this book more than The Husband's Secret. It was a bit trying to get through the numerous characters in the start, then was okay, then got a bit trite. It was interesting to note the hints of real issues within a more chick lit style novel. The domestic abuse made me think of Ray Rice and the complexity of the situations. Overall was entertaining.
Good story but a little hard to follow and keep all of the characters and timelines straight
emotional
medium-paced
I loved this story. The plot twist was so clever and the characters were not only well developed so that each individual one was relatable, but they were all incredibly different.
Liane Moriarty is a new favorite author of mine and her latest novel, Big Little Lies is another reason why. It's the same can't-put-down, laugh-out-loud writing with flawed therefore authentic and lovable characters.
I love Moriarty's style! She is a very much a mystery writer. In this one, she presents an event, Parent Trivia Night where tragedy strikes (this is the vaguest of her mysteries) and then takes you back six months introducing characters, ties, and plot lines building up and weaving people together to the final outcome. This sort of backward unraveling keeps you guessing and interested. I haven't found another author quite like her.
This book doesn't contain the same moral dilemmas as her previous novels (ex: The Husband's Secret) but it does deal with some very heavy issues such as domestic violence, bullying, and mommy wars. Plan the last 70 pages better than I did! Things get very intense and everything explodes. At which point it is very hard to put the book down and go to work!

I loved this book. I thought I wouldn't like it because I had already loved The Husband's Secret and I figured it would be too similar, but it really was different. I was completely immersed in the book, I loved the characters and thought the author captured the personality of suburban life. I think it is hysterical that it all centers around a kindergarten class, yet it is not all that exaggerated! Apparently the US and Australian suburbs are very similar. Such a great read, I wish it hadn't ended.
