Holy heck I loved this book!!! This was one of those books that could just go on and on and on and you would never get tired of it! I was hooked from the very moment I started this book! It was a one sit read for me! I absolutely loved loved loved Zander and Daphney! The banter between these two was amazing! While I found myself chuckling throughout the book I did catch the feels too! You could really feel the emotions that the characters go through. I was so sad when I was finished with this one!! I definitely didn’t want it to end! I highly recommend this book!!

Sweeper is a new standalone romance by Amy Daws. It's a secret Harris brother story, so if you have read the Harris brothers' books, you are going to love this. And if you haven't, you need to get on that, and you will still love it! Zander is an American who's just moved to London to play football for Bethnal Green. He's just suffered a loss and found out Vaughn Harris might be his biological father. He doesn't know what to think of that. He just wants to play football in the Premier League. And on his first night he meets Daphney. He hits on her and it's hilarious and quite stupid on his part. She pretty much hands him his hat to eat and walks away. But she can't help but laugh at his brazen attitude. Turns out they are neighbors and she pretty much hates him. He's loud and obnoxious but he's also funny and sexy. She will resist him. Right? Nope! Not after one hot as fire kiss. Whoa. One kiss turns into neighbors with benefits and it's hot! They have fun, they laugh, they even open up about their pasts and lives. But Zander is keeping a big secret from Daphney and when she finds out all the fun is over. She's been hurt before and she won't put herself through that again. Zander doesn’t want to lose her. He desperately wants her to understand. In the midst of all this, he's dealing with being a Harris. He's been playing with his brothers and keeping the secret and it just eats at him. He cracks and just had to walk away. But the Harrises aren't going to let their brother get far. He put all his cards on the table. Can he get the family and the girl? Oh man! I didn’t think I was going to love this story as much as I did. What am I saying? It’s Amy and a Harris book, of course I was going to love it. Zander was a cocky, jerky, hot mess with a sweet and soft side and I just loved him! The backward hat? Be still my heart! And Daphney was freaking hilarious. She didn’t let him get away with anything! She’s tough and tells it like it is! I didn’t want it to end and I’m hoping we’ll see more from Zander and Daphney. Overall, I laughed and freaking cried my eyes out and loved every word!
Sweeper had me all swept up in my feels y’all! Seriously, I laughed, cried, rolled my eyes, swooned and just said ‘awww’ out loud
This book has everything you could want out of a romance novel.
Strangers to frenemies to lovers to happily ever after.
These two clicked fast as opposites and then their friendship blossomed as they played out their just friends with benefits arrangement.
She had a bit of trouble trusting her guy picker so their break took awhile for her to work through.
Their get back together moment was super cute and sweet though! He messed up some and he apologized but she wasn’t quite ready to open up all the way. I loved how the gesture was super simple as far as “grand gestures” go and it was unique in that it came from Daphne instead of Zander.
There were four talented narrators in this book.
For the American Female characters Stella Hunter was the voice you hear. She is fast becoming a favorite. Soft breathy tones that can come in strong at times.
For the American Males Teddy Hamilton was the voice you hear. He is already a favorite of mine. He just has a super awesome boy next door, super down to earth vibe.
For the English Male characters Will Watt is the voice you hear. He is also a favorite of mine already. He is so talented to swap his voice around to distinguish between all the Harris males.
For the English Female characters you hear Faye Adele. She has a lovely voice and will be going on my list of narrators to suggest and watch out for in the future.

I loved every moment of this story, it was fun, steamy and emotional. The banter between Zander and Daphney was my favorite part and I loved the friendship they developed throughout the story. Amy really knows how to take you on a ride with your emotions and I love that about her books.
The narration for this book was incredible. Teddy was perfect at portraying Zander’s emotion and Faye is new to me and I loved her performance. I loved have Will Watt back as the Harris family and Stella did an outstanding job as Zander’s mom. Definitely worth a listen.

This book is book #4 in the Harris Brothers World series. It was so good to be back with the Harris family and soccer/football. Zander and Daphney are perfect for one another. The up and downs, the is he or is he not, the can this work or are they afraid of something we’re all incredible. This has to be my favorite book in this series so my question is: Will there be another book in this series! Oh say yes please, Amy Daws!!

We got a little hint at this story in Santino’s book, which makes sense because Santino was the only one who kind of knew the secret that Zander was keeping. At least until Zander gave in and told his two fellow new teammates, both also from America. So, I also read an early copy of this, and so the references I read were different than what are in the final copy. And unfortunately, some of the notes I took that I wanted to talk about in my review were over those references, so I’ll have to leave out those because I don’t think they’re in the fixed published version.
There was so much I loved in this one though that connected me back to the beginning of the Harris brothers series. First of all, the website that Zander used to do some research on his new teammates and coach’s family, harrishoandproud dot com. lol I have my Harris Ho and Proud shirt! Maybe I’ll get it out and wear it again soon! I also loved how the author pulled in the tire place both from her own writing experiences as well as from her Wait With Me series, based on that whole experience.
But it wasn’t just the Harris brothers, this always brought back the London Lovers series, because Daphney is Hayden’s little sister. Now reading about her made me want to go back and read all those books again so I can look for hints of her.
Now, Zander is totally going to be my favorite after Camden in world of Amy Daws leading men. He can be my newest book boyfriend. His sense of humor, his silly way of being crude at times, all of it was so much fun. I also loved how Daphney dealt with him. Their connection was fun and perfect at times, well most of the time I guess, all of the time actually. Their big climactic scene that took them apart at the end totally had me in tears. But after, when the train started to get back on the track towards the HEA I was waiting for, I’m pretty sure I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading.
I love the Harris family. They remind me a lot in how my family is. We don’t see “step” or “half” relations. If you marry into our family, or start dating someone, you are immediately folded in and become important and included. I think that’s one thing I love so much about the Harris family. Even with the Harris shakedown to the men trying to date their relatives, when they find out there is new family or friends, or framily as Daphney’s friend Phoebe called it, they are loyal.
What a wonderful book, loved it so much!
