Sweeper exceeded my expectations to start the least. I only started reading romance a few years ago and I started with sports romance, Amy Daws is one of the reasons I loved it so much. Her Harris Brothers series is still one of my favorites because it’s a world I’d love to live in. Every single Harris brother endeared himself to me and Zander is no exception, in fact he might be my new favorite. Sweeper was the perfect balance of Harris Brothers shenanigans, laugh out loud banter and just the right amount of angst and spice. I read this book in no joke less than 24 hours because I didn’t want to put it down until I knew what happened the whole way through. I will continue to read anything Amy Daws puts out because for me she hasn’t missed once so far!
Now I’ve officially finished all the Harris Brothers and spin off books, and I have to say, I’m sad about it. I’ve grown to love this family and I hope someway we see more of them some day.
Phoebe, Daphne's friend however convinces Daphne to have a casual one night stand with the new footballer in town and Daphne does. However after Zander gives her first orgasm ever to her Daphne freaks out and practically throws Zander out of her apartment. Thinking he's bad at sex Zander returns and the two hook up again, deciding to be neighbors with benefits. Zander later uses Daphne to get an invite to Harris family dinner to steal hair from Vaughn's brush.
A couple weeks later he escorts her to a wedding and the two are falling for one another. When they decide to have a relationship, Daphney overhears Zander saying he used her and is hurt and wants nothing to do with him. Zander spirals out of control confronting his mom and Vaughn and just when he thinks there might be another chance with Daphne she tells him there won't be.
I really liked this book and liked that even though Vaughn Harris was his biological father Zander still never stopped thinking or grieving for the dad who raised him. I was happy Daphne was able to find herself through her music again and that she and Zander worked things out and fought for one another finally.
This was super fun, and way better than expected! The progression from "enemies" to neighbours with benefits to lovers was PERFECT! The banter between Zander and Daphney was charming and the quirky situations they ended up in didn't feel contrived (in the context of this fun world). What made me take 1 star away from an otherwise perfect read was how the conflict went down. Daphney's explosive reaction and their lack of communication made things more frustrating that they have to be. Fortunately, the overall plot and wonderful cast of secondary characters more than made up for it.
Finally! An Amy Daws title I've enjoyed! This wasn't as bonkers as her others (which were not my cup of tea) and definitely had more depth (thank goodness). Glad to have taken a chance on this one.

THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING! Amy does it again - she wrote a fun, fast paced, hot sports romance that had me smiling from start to finish.
This is a story of a man who feels lost. He lost his father suddenly, then was thrown a curve ball finding out not only is his had not his bio dad, but his bio dad is the head of England's biggest soccer family. When he moves to London to play for his team, he's torn with finding out the truth, or moving on.
In walks his neighbor... she fills a gap for him that has been missing, makes him feel wanted. And even though this is only supposed to be a neighbor with benefits, it quickly turns in to more for him. Unfortunately, like real life, things don't go smoothly the whole time.
This book all around made me happy. I laughed, I teared up, and I swooned. What more could you ask for?! At the core - this story is about found family... it might not always be what you think, but they will always be there for you.
HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

This is a good ending for the Harris Family and World. I love this series a lot and am so glad I found it through Booktok.
Only issue I had with the book is a lot of Xanders inner thoughts of Daphne being sweet, innocent and like pure good girl.

This was a great way to end the Harris World. I liked Daphne and Xander. It was funny, emotional and just great.
I did not like how Xander thinks about Daphne in terms of thinking she is sweet, innocent, and a good girl (not the sex kind) but the pure kind and it bugged me a bit.
