Favourite Quotes:
"It's a dangerous game you play, vieille amie," he murmured.

They didn't understand what a burden it could be. Immortality means living forever, with every bad memory and ugly mistake, every betrayal and emotional wound. But people had to experience it to understand it.

'Renie, I believe someone may have been trying to kill you."

There is no greater loneliness than immortality.

I recieven this book from Netgalley in return for my honest opinion.

I kinda liked the book, but it also felt too much like it was written by a Wattpad author. Yes, I am aware that this book is by Wattpad, but it really felt like some sort of fanfic is some way. The story was fun, the idea of some sort of house full of vampires and it gave me some sort of Love Island kinda idea. You know, a house full of celebs and everybody wants to watch/ join. Renie wasn't my favorite but she had her bits and pieces that I enjoyed. I did understand why she joined the house.

Over all the book was okay. It was just a bit too much Wattpad still for me. I don't really like those stories anymore.

Thank you to NetGalley and wattpad books for allowing me to obtain an arc in exchange for an honest review! All thoughts and opinions are mine and mine alone.

I liked this one! A little cheesy- but I believe this is targeted towards a YA/NA leading audience so the cheese amount worked. While vampires being out in the open isn’t something new in the paranormal realm, it is for this sub genre I think. I can see this one being on the paranormal/ya romance tiktok-booktok trends. The ending was (predictable) but led to a great cliffhanger for the next book(s) in the series and makes me look forward to it.

This is my kind of book really, it's got vampires, a missing person, an angsty teen and some romance. A very easy read, whizzed through in about two days. I enjoyed the premise, the protagonist's sister has gone missing at a vampire house and she's gone to find out whats happened by becoming a donor herself. I'm not going to say this book is groundbreaking in any way, but it's a fun easy read for those who love a bit of fantasy romance. I will say I found it quite easy to predict what was going to happen, I would have enjoyed it if the 'twists' had been a little less obvious.

Thanks to Netgalley for a free copy!

** 3.5 stars rounded up
I wanted to love this book so much more than I did. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t amazing. Luckily the very ending wound up being interesting so I will more than likely continue this series. Plus it’s vampires and even when i don’t love it, i still love it.

This book was a fun, easy read and just what I was looking for when I picked it up. The world that Higgin has created reminds me of Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampires series (not a bad thing). I really enjoy vampire books where vampires are part of society in some way, rather than living on the outskirts. It’s definitely YA, but there’s enough spice to keep things interesting
