While not his strongest overall collection of short fiction, for King fan, there's still plenty to be found here that make the volume worth reading.

Stephen King is sort of my personal equivalent of a 'beach read.' I know that it will be fast-paced, well-written and engaging although probably not life-changing 'literature.' And all my very favorite Stephen King tales are short stories. This collection is no exception. I especially liked "The Man in the Black Suit," "The Road Virus Heads North," and "Luckey Quarter." I recommend.

What could be better than a book of short stories that can make you think twice about things that go could go wrong. One of the stories I hope never happens to me.

SK is usually my go-to author when I want entertainment that I can get through quickly and without effort. With the exception of "Riding the Bullet," I slogged through this collection and frequently found myself flipping through to see how much more of each story I had to read. Definitely not his best work.
