The umpteenth collection of King's short stories. As usual, quality differs. I especially liked The Little Sisters of Eluria and Everything's Eventual, seeing as they are related to the Dark Tower-epos. Yes, it is hard to write something new about King. His stories can be compared to a huge chunk of cake: Filling your appetite, being highly enjoyable, but never really attaining any “literary” merit. Feeling-slighty-distressed-fluff for airports and lazy Sundays. 4/5
I enjoyed it. It's Stephen King in short form. What's not to love?

I didn't love a lot of the stories in Everything's Eventual. Many of them, like the titular entry, felt bloated and redundant in the context of King's many stories and books.
Still, some stories stand out. "1408" is great. I also enjoyed the pulpy nature of "In the Death Room" and the odd beauty in both "The Death of Jack Hamilton" and "The Little Sisters of Eluria".

I got this book for "1408" after I'd read ghost stories about the "real" hotel room and later heard Stephen King had written story about the "real" room (while taking some artistic license). I loved the narrative before or after each story, and the stories were all what you'd expect from Stephen King. Always a fan.
I came upon reading this solely to get to “The Little Sisters of Eluria” as I’m on a quest to read every SK work connected to the Dark Tower series before I continue on that journey.
In the end, this was a good collection of 11 short stories and 3 novellas.
A couple of them were mediocre stories that had a ton of potential if given more context and pages.
A couple truly horrifying stories that had my skin shivering, especially the opening story “Autopsy Room 4”, “The Man in the Black Suit”, and “Riding the Bullet”.
I would love if the namesake of this collection “Everything’s Eventual” was a full novel and would eat it up, especially with its connections to Ted Brautigan of Hearts in Atlantis which was easily the most interesting aspect of that novel.

I like the stories well enough. I think my favorite was "That feeling, The one you can only say what it is in french".
I know a lot of readers see SK as some sort of Horror God but I like his own ramblings about his writings the best. "I write ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances."
A few of these made me laugh out loud. It's supposed to be dark stories and they sure do have some dark elements, but I wouldn't say that they scared me.
My favorite part of the whole book was actually his adlib notes in the intro of the book and before each little story.
He's alright.
